Third graders took a break from creating projects for our class studio to listen to the book "When Charlie McButton Lost Power". The students loved listening to the anxiety Charlie felt when he was without technology, and how important it is to unplug once in a while. Charlie begrudgingly has to play with his sister, and realizes, even after power came back to his gadgets, he enjoyed the break from his screens, and will continue to take self selected breaks to play with his sister.
Even though technology enhances all our lives greatly, it doesn't replace the human interaction we all need to have and continue to build social and interpersonal relationships.
